Bliss lies ahead as you spend magical days in a dreamy overwater bungalow and explore six of Tahiti’s most captivating islands – both must-sees like Papeete and Bora Bora and less-traveled islands like Huahine, Raiatea, and tiny Tahaa. Romance is in the air in Moorea as you watch the real-life aquarium beneath your feet through the glass floor of your overwater bungalow, enjoy a mouthwatering tropical breakfast delivered by outrigger canoe, and dine on the beach at a private table for two lit only by tiki torches and stars. Go swimming or paddleboarding off the ship’s own Watersports Platform as we anchor off white-sand beaches, the air scented with flowers and vanilla. Stay overnight in three ports with time to explore Polynesian history and traditions, go drift snorkeling in coral gardens teeming with tropical fish, dive for black pearls, and watch sunsets that turn the sapphire sea all manner of fruit punch colors.

| Day 3 | French Polynesia | Raiatea | |
|
Raiatea, "The Sacred Island," is located just across the lagoon from Tahaa and shares the same barrier reef. (Legend claims the two were a single island until a conger eel possessed by the spirit of a princess separated them.) It used to be the center of religion and culture in the Society Islands. Taputapuatea, on the southeast coast, was once the most important marae around, the place where kings from the neighboring islands would gather for important ceremonies. Uturoa, the main town, reminds some people of Papeete in its younger days with its quaint low-rise buildings. Raiatea is also home to the only navigable river in the islands, the Fa'aroa. Explore Polynesian history or climb Mount Temehani in search of the rare tiare apetahi flower, which grows only here. |
